PROJECT IDEA :

My idea for my final project follows the idea of individuality and fashion. I feel that in todays society people are afraid to follow their own personal style which takes away the originality and personality from individuals. Normally people of youth follow the crowd and go with what is on trend but don't think outside the box on their own account. Therefore, I want to express the importance of fashion through photography. I think that it is important to express yourself through fashion and the items you wear because it can make you feel good and allows you to become your own person. Capturing this through street photography can be quite difficult when I wanted to have colour schemes throughout my work so I am planning each shoot, making sure I get a perfect end piece. Before jumping into my final piece, I think it's important for me to follow through with a few different shoots to experiment with colour and the style of photography I like. For example, I really like the use of flash but in outdoor shoots it can be difficult to manage, especially with unpredictable weather! This is why planning for my specific project is ideal.

Finally, I ideally want to end the project with a photograph that equally represents individuality and personality. Personally I do feel that it is important to stay true to yourself and this is a good way to show it through photography.

PLAN :

As the weather is sunny on week 8 I could possibly change the colour scheme from shoot 3 to yellow. I would use a brick wall background and make sure the sun hits the subject. Only problem is the fashion side to it as I have limited access to yellow clothing. Nearer to the time I will decide on final ideas.
